Entomologists Talk about their Favorite Arthropods At Entomology 2013
In this video, Derek A. Woller, a Ph.D. student who works on the evolution of scrub-lovin’ grasshoppers in the Song Laboratory of Insect Systematics and Evolution at the University of Central Florida (UCF – Orlando, FL), asks attendees of Entomology 2013 about their favorite arthropods.
You might think that an entomologist’s favorite mini-beast is the one that he/she works on, but you might surprised! The majority
of entomologists interviewed here mentioned an organism that they did not work on for their research. The world is simply full of too many
interesting things to examine and too little time in which to do it!
A handful of non-entomologist conference attendees were also asked the question and even they had favorites.
Arthropod power!
