The silkworm (Bombyx mori) feeds on leaves of the mulberry plant. A common agricultural fungicide, if present on mulberry leaves, can impair oxygen consumption and reduce silk production in the silkworm, according to a new study by researchers at São Paulo State University in Brazil.
