Locust: The Opera
Three professors at the University of Wyoming collaborated to create “Locust: The Opera,” a stage performance adapted from co-creator Jeffrey A. Lockwood’s book about the extinction of the Rocky Mountain locust (Melanoplus spretus). The opera, starring Todd Teske (left) as a scientist and Cristin Colvin in the role of the ghost of the locust, premiered September 28 at National Museum of Wildlife Art in Jackson, Wyoming.
