A new study in the Journal of Medical Entomology shows how the technology electropenetrography (EPG) can quantify of the feeding behaviors of mosquitoes, specifically the species Aedes aegypti. Study leader Astri Wayadande (shown here) of Oklahoma State University hopes to encourage other researchers to try EPG to study the range of blood-sucking arthropods that transmit human and other diseases.
