whitefly puparia

whitefly puparia

Here, the puparium of the ficus whitefly Singhiella simplex (outlined) is compared to puparia of different species of whitefly found in Florida. Whitefly taxonomic literature is based mainly on the descriptions of whitefly puparium. Whitefly puparia vary in color, shape, amount, type, and placement of associated waxes.
