Rising resistance to Bt crops: University of Arizona entomologists Bruce Tabashnik, Ph.D., and Yves Carrière, Ph.D., report that, worldwide, cases of field-evolved resistance to Bt crops severe enough to cause practical consequences for pest management surged from just four in 2006 to 19 by 2016.
