integrated vector management progression – Caguas City PR
A citywide integrated vector management effort led by the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention in 2016 and 2017 in Caguas City, Puerto Rico, was rolled out across eight sectors of the city, one at a time, aimed at decreasing the Aedes aegypti mosquito population. These maps show the progression of the control effort over time (left) alongside the ensuing density of Ae. aegypti captures at 360 monitoring stations throughout the city.
