mosquito void entry experiment setup
In an experiment looking at how mosquitoes seek out holes in netting, University of Central Florida researchers introduced yellowfever mosquitoes (Aedes aegypti) into a tube, one end of which held an attractant that was protected by a piece of mosquito bed netting with small holes cut into it. The attractant was a dirty sock tantalizingly embellished with heat and humidity. (Image originally published in Dickerson et al 2018, Journal of Insect Science)
weird flex, but okay.
