Kayla Perry, Ph.D., developed a self-mark-capture technique using fluorescent powder to investigate the movement of multiple ground-dwelling arthropod taxa simultaneously in the field. This study revealed that small-scale canopy and understory disturbances affected movement of highly mobile ground-dwelling arthropods, while most other arthropod taxa exhibited limited movement regardless of disturbance.
