Telenomus remus wasp parasitizing Spodoptera frugiperda eggs

Previously, researchers identified parasitoid wasps in the genera Telenomus (such as Telenomus remus, shown here) and Trichogramma present in East Africa, showing significant rates of parasitism of fall armyworm (Spodoptera frugiperda) eggs. New research recently published in the Indian Journal of Entomology has found these natural enemies of the fall armyworm present in Asia as well.
