Here, the sizes and shapes of common whitefly species in Florida, adults (A) and puparia (B), are compared. Key: 1) sweetpotato whitefly (Bemisia tabaci), sometimes also known as silverleaf whitefly; 2) Aleurotrachelus trachoides, sometimes known as solanum whitefly; 3) Paraleyrodes bondari, sometimes known as Bondar’s nesting whitefly; 4) rugose spiraling whitefly (Aleurodicus rugioperculatus); and 5) Aleurodicus dugesii, sometimes known as giant whitefly.
